Nick just completed 6 week of Volumetrical Arc Radiation Therapy. For those of you that do not know that much about radiation, he received 5,400 Centigray to kill this tumor. This is the equivalent of 108,000 Rems (units of radiation doses applied to humans). The average 21 year old receives about 13.02 rems over 21 years (depending on where they live and how much time they spend in the sun). So Nick is a bit “fried” considering he received over 8,000x what a normal person would be exposed to from radiation!
The good news is that is it done!
